Fire
Fire ants build crumbly dirt mounds in lawns, near sidewalks, and around utility boxes. Disturb a mound and they respond fast, climbing onto shoes and ankles and delivering painful stings. Their bodies are usually reddish brown, and you may see multiple, irregular mounds in sunny areas.
Besides the pain, fire ants are a real risk for kids, pets, and anyone sensitive to stings. Leaving them alone allows the colony to grow and spread into neighboring yards. BRD uses products designed for fire ants specifically, treating nests and surrounding zones so your yard goes back to being a place to play, not a minefield.
