Oriental and smokybrown cockroaches are shiny, dark roaches that like damp, cool environments. They show up around foundation plantings, under mulch, in crawl spaces, and in lower levels where moisture is present.

Left alone, outside populations can grow and steadily send roaches indoors. They are a sign that moisture and organic debris around the home are giving pests an open invitation.
